Reauthorization of the Rehabilitation Act
The Rehabilitation Act was reauthorized by Congress as part of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998.

Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)

Education of the Deaf Act
There is currently interest in establishing a Commission on the Education of the Deaf (COED) to study the of deaf and hard of hearing students in high school and post-secondary programs, which include colleges, universities and technical schools. Components of this study also include career exploration, job training, advancement and satisfaction, as well as other employment issues.
